Meet your tutor Steve, an experienced educator with a passion for teaching maths. With over four decades of expertise, Steve has been dedicated to guiding students aged 11 to 18 towards academic success. His personalised approach and commitment to student growth make him a trusted mentor in the field of mathematics.
About Me
I have lived in Kent for over 40 years with my wife and two daughters. I am a keen sportsman who enjoys padel and golf, as well as walking our two dogs in the countryside.
Teaching Experience
I began my career at The Chaucer School Canterbury, where I worked as Head of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
After 30 years there, I moved to St Lawrence College in Ramsgate, where I coached games for the Junior and Senior School and taught Maths across both Key Stage 3 and 4. For the past 5 years, I have worked with children with additional educational needs (AEN) offering small group and one-to-one tuition.
Areas Of Expertise
During my time as Head of Key Stage 3 and 4, I was responsible for academic tracking, pastoral care and safeguarding.
What Tuition Do I Offer?
I offer personalised maths tutoring to help students improve their understanding and performance in various math topics. From Key Stage 3 Maths to GCSE Foundation Maths, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive support tailored to each student's needs.
I am passionate about removing the fear factor from Maths and building confidence to not be afraid to try and get things wrong.
